According to a source cited by Times Of India, Yash and Prashanth Neel are in no rush to commence the third chapter of KGF. The duo has mutually decided to initiate the next installment only when they have a script that can match, if not surpass, the success of the first two parts. The source revealed, "After Prashanth completes the film with Jr NTR, he will do the next KGF film."

The delay in KGF 3's production, attributed to the absence of a finalized script, could be welcome news for fans. In a previous report, Yash expressed his desire to break free from the "KGF" tag and explore other roles. An earlier statement by Yash, quoted by ETimes, emphasized, "Yash doesn’t want to be branded as the ‘KGF’ star like Sean Connery and Daniel Craig who were branded as James Bond.
